Sermon #9
ومن كلام له (عليه السلام) في صفته وصفة خصومه ويقال إنّها في أصحاب الجمل
وقَدْ أَرْعَدُوا وَأبْرَقُوا، وَمَعَ هذَيْنِ الاْمْرَيْنِ الفَشَلُ، وَلَسْنَا نُرْعِدُ حَتَّى نُوقِعَ، وَلا نُسِيلُ حَتَّى نُمْطِر.
English Translation
Cowardice of the people of Jamal
They [1] thunder like clouds and shone like lightning but despite both these things they exhibited cowardice, while we do not thunder till we pounce upon the foe nor do we show flow (of words) until we have not virtually rained.
اردو ترجمہ
امیر المؤمنین حضرت علی بن ابی طالبؑ کا خطبہ نمبر 9: اس عظیم کلام میں امیر المؤمنین نے جنگِ جمل میں فتنہ پروروں کی بزدلی کا تذکرہ کے حوالے سے بصیرت افروز ارشادات اور حکمت کے موتی ارشاد فرمائے۔
